Best ways to care for Spray roses
Spray roses refer to roses that grow with clusters of blooms on one stem or branch. Most of our spray roses have five to eight flowers per stem. Spray roses make up the bulk of small bouquets and corsages, with the foliage creating an attractive background for the brightly colored blooms. Sprays are ideal for small floral arrangements where larger roses may be overpowering. They add a touch of romance to any setting or event

Vase preparation tips for Spray Roses
How to make sure you can enjoy your beautiful Spray Roses? Although vase preparation for Spray Roses is similar to standard or single roses, there are a few guidelines to ensure that your Sprays look their best. If you keep the following tips in mind when preparing your Spray Roses for the vase, you will experience the full extent of their beauty and benefit from longer vase life:
- Make sure your vase is very clean. The best way is to disinfect your vase.
- Next, fill your vase with water, preferably room temperature so not too warm or too cold
- Use the right amount of cut flower food, check the label for a recommendation.
- Cut the Spray Rose stem at a 45-degree angle. A sharp kitchen knife is best.
- Lastly, the most important rule to keep in mind is to keep the vase full, because Spray Roses will drink a lot of water!
This last rule is the big difference between Single Roses and Spray Roses.
The Single rose has to transport the water to one bloom only, whereas a Spray Rose has to transport the water to many blooms. This is also why you have to keep your vase as clean as possible; the tubes in the stem need to stay free of bacteria and unblocked as long as possible in order for all the blooms to open.
Follow these few tips and experience the beauty of Spray Roses!

Red: Romantic love
It’s universally acknowledged that red roses represent romantic love. When it comes to expressing a true, long-lasting love, red roses are an optimal way to show it.
Pink: Gratitude, Love, Appreciation
Pink roses represent grace, elegance, sweetness and poetic romance. The darker the shade, the more strongly it expresses thanks. Light pink roses, on the other hand, are closely associated with tenderness and appreciation.
Yellow: Get well, Friendship and Happiness
With their sunny disposition, yellow roses represent happiness and friendship and have a cheering effect. Due to this positive expression, they are better suited to say ‘get well’ and ‘thank you’, with their message of platonic love.
Lavender: Romance, Love at First Sight, Enchantment
Purple has traditionally always been associated with royalty. However, these days purple roses are often associated with femininity and sweetness.
