Whether used in bouquets, arrangements, or even on the cake, hydrangeas create an elegant and beautiful
Hydrangea are widely sought after for use in arrangements of wholesale flowers and wedding flowers. Their large heads and magnificient presentation make them ideal ‘focal points’ for bouquets and arrangements of wedding flowers. Many of our customers combine hydrangea with rose petals creating a stunning presentation appropriate for any occasion – casual or formal. Description: Light Blue Hydrangea is best characterized by a single stem with one large bloom (called a ‘head’). The head of Hydrangea is roughly the size of a softball (and sometimes larger).
Care Tips for Hydrangea in Bouquets
- When you receive your Hydrangeas, put the stems in clean, cold water
- Use a clean and sharp knife, so the stem won’t get damaged when you cut a piece off the stem (to improve the water absorption)
- Always offer your customers cut flower food (this can extend the vase life of your Hydrangea up to a week!)
- Hydrangeas really like water, so when you stick them in oasis, be sure that you add enough water
- Classic colored Hydrangeas can also be dried: when you leave them with no water and cut the leaved off, you can enjoy them as a dry flower for months.
Hydrangeas are very sensitive
Hydrangeas are very sensitive for draught and differences in temperature. Watch where you place your beautiful bouquet in your house. Also keep your Hydrangeas away from ripping fruit and vegetables. The ethylene produces by the fruit and vegetables causes the flower to wilt early.
